Gracefully Yours Tearoom

by Casey J. » Sun Jun 17, 2007 8:00 am

We had a chance on Friday to try http://www.gracefullyyourstearoom.com/ . It is a fantastic tearoom in Vine Grove, Kentucky. (From Louisville: I-65 South to Ft. Knox Exit, Left on Main Street in Vine Grove, Tearoom will be on your right) We have tried several tearooms since The Emwood Inn closed and have never found one we wanted to frequent. Gracefully Yours more than fills the void Elmwood Inn left. The food and tea were fantastic and innovative. The owners and staff are very welcoming. They offer the relaxing and unhurried environment that you expect for tea. We went for full evening tea. We were very impressed with the assortment and quality of tea available. The atmosphere was inviting and we found ourselves making new friends at the neighboring tables. They also have a gift shop to purchase teas-to-go and other items. It is worth the drive from Louisville and I encourage you to try it. I am always glad to see a small community offer something unique and of high quality.

Thanks for the report, Casey! New one on me, but it sounds worth the drive.

New kid on the block

It has only been open a few weeks. It really is worth the drive. You may want to call first for reservations. The newspaper in Elizabethtown wrote a multi-page article about them in the Friday edition. Luckily we had made reservations several days earlier. The owner mentioned that the phone had been ringing non-stop since that morning with reservation requests.

the 'god, tea & me' is a little over the top, but I guess they know their market.

Whoa ... is it a tea shop or is it a church? From Casey's report, though, in fairness I don't get the impression that you have to listen to a sermon before you get your tea.

It would be nice if they had spelled "Galatians" right ...

Christian establishment

by Casey J. » Mon Jun 18, 2007 5:41 pm

The owners are strong Christians and their tearoom reflects that. They are not going to preach or try to convert you during tea, but there is no doubt they are Christians. You will be greeted with a verse on each table, much like a fortune cookie. My wife and I liked that about it, but we are aware it may not be everyone's cup of tea (pardon the pun) : )
