Cooking classes in Louisville

by Chris Scott » Fri Jan 22, 2010 12:15 pm

Does anyone have any recommendations for good cooking classes in Louisville?

I know Whole Foods occasionally will have a class, and I believe Williams Sonoma does as well. I was hoping someone on here may have some suggestions based on good/bad experiences.

Does Sullivan offer any classes for non-culinary students?

Thanks!

Campbell's offers many classes. Several are taught by Sullivan Chef Instructors. I've taught a few myself. Here's a link. Certain classes fill up quickly!

Highly recommended: Mary Wheatley's "Cook With Mary" classes.

Haven't been yet, but my wife and her sister and husband are planning to do one of the date nights - quite a steal at $45/couple. I'm almost 100% sure I couldn't purchase the ingredients for most of those meals for anywhere close to $45.

I got my husband the Sauces class at Campbell's (for Christmas). She told me it is one of their most popular and I noticed yesterday they added a second session (Hub's session is on 2/6 and the new session is on 2/7). He hasn't been yet, but they sure seem popular.

Still think it's a steal, but I think the Date Nights are $65 a couple, not $45. And Mike Cunha is one of the best chef instructors in town. He's a very good teacher along with being a very talented Chef.
