Best food blogs

by JustinHammond » Tue Jan 19, 2010 1:15 pm

I found this site while searching for food blogs for D.C. and had to look at what they thought were the best blogs for Louisville. Guess who made the list, Louisville Hot Bytes.

It has links to quite a few blogs from across the country.

Yeah, when you look at their picks from Louisville it seems like they pretty much took in everybody. Ville Voice? Metromix? I guess I'm grateful that they included us, but I don't think they set the bar very high. Am I being a curmudgeon here? ;)

I would be proud. At least I know they can find a good thing if it is out there.

While its being mentioned, anyone interested should check out Alinea at Home and French Laundry at home. Some lady decided she was going to cook every recipe in both of their respective books at home and document it. She finished off the French Laundry last year and his been working through Alinea. Sometimes the dishes turn out fantastic, sometimes a disaster, but its always very informative and is a good read. Also if you're trying to cook one of those recipes it is quite helpful to see the pitfalls you will/may encounter ahead of time.

Interesting, and worth looking up, Aaron. Thanks for the lead. I expect she borrowed the concept from "Julie and Julia," but there's no harm in that.
