CPC thin ten pizza

by John Hagan » Mon Jan 18, 2010 10:40 am

I had the pleasure of trying the new "Thin Ten" pizza the other day at Charlestown Pizza Company. As one would expect it does indeed have a very thin crust. I would almost describe it as being cracker like, but there was still pliability to it. We went with a ham, pineapple, black olive pizza and a sausage, mushroom also. Both were quick to come out of the kitchen, well seasoned with the perfect amount of sauce. As I recall, the pie is only five bucks with additional toppings for sixty cents. As always the staff at CPC are great, very friendly folks who seem happy to be at work. While we were there every group of customers that came in congratulated Shawn on his "David and Goliath" like take down of the local pizza slut.I dont want to turn this into the ever present "chain vs local" discussions we have here, but this place is exactly why I try my best not to support large chain operations. Heres a guy doing the right thing and doing it well. CPC is out of the way for Anne and I, but its worth the trip for sure.

Pics didnt really capture the thinness of the pizza, but here they are....

The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

That looks awesome...I'll have to give it a try the next time we go over there. Thanks for the review!

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza. D Barry
