I have to say that I had a terrific foodie day. I stopped by Derby City Espresso for the first time. I had a perfectly prepared Cafe Cubano and got to know Matthew. It's a great place. The coffee was wonderful and the interior is just somehow very welcoming. For dinner, my wonderful wife surprised me with reservations at L&N. It was our first trip and it was a great experience to celebrate our anniversary. I had the "Fish and Chips" and she had the salmon. The salads, entrees and wine were terrific. Service and food were spot-on making for a special evening. We're pretty lucky to have people around us who care so much about their craft.
