Update on Bobby Bramblett's Condition

by Steve Bryant » Sat Jan 09, 2010 5:00 pm

For those of you that have visited our restaurant and listened to our music I would like to update you on Bobby Bramblett's condition. He is our keyboard player. He was born and raised in LaGrange Kentucky. He has played music all over the Louisville area and I'm sure if you haven't heard his name, you have been somewhere and heard him play. He was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in November of 2008. He was told then that he had 6 months to a year to live. While battling cancer during this time he came to work for me and we've been playing music together here until last week. He was admitted to the Nortons Brownsboro Hospital Thursday and the Doctors are telling him the cancer has spread all over. They said he has only a few weeks to live. I know he played music at the Captain's Quarters for a while and many other places. I know some of you folks know him and I though this would be the best way to get the information out to you. He is on the 4th floor in room #418 if anyone wants to call or visit. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to call me. He and I have become very close friends and I will be glad to share what information I have.

Well, I know everyone wont agree with me, and thats fine here, but this week more than ever I have been reminded of the power of prayer, and that miracles do indeed happen. i write this sitting next to my wife in the ICU. She's going to be fine, but Thursday we weren't sure. We came home from the hospital last Sunday with our new baby and were back here Wednesday she was so sick. Very long story short, she picked up a horrible infection postpartum, and had to have emergency surgery. The docs were floored she wasnt worse off and that they even got a chance to treat her. Most don't make it they said. Well, thanks to their hard work, and God's blessing, she is beginning to recover. I don't know how things will go for your friend, as it sounds pretty bad. But know that I am praying for him and for those who love him. Hang in there.

I wish I were a more elequent writer especially at 12:40 am after a wonderful meal at Pat's and after dinner drinks at Porcini... These stories remind us all of how precious life is; so sorry and sad to hear of Bobby's condition, he obviously has fought hard and we all hope the best for him; his music has brought joy to people for a long time. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. And then there is the miracle story of Kris' wife and family. So happy for you and your wife and glad she got through the infection and surgery, congratulations on your new baby.
The Lord works in mysterious ways, happy new year and god bless!!

Yes, I do believe in the power of prayer. Kris, my mom heard you on TV this morning and was really moved. I believe she will have MANY prayers said for her. Sorry to hear about Bobby. We've lost some great ones lately- Tim Krekel, Steve Ferguson..
