Cozy restaurant with a warm fire

by Carole C » Fri Jan 08, 2010 5:42 pm

I have corralled my husband and a couple of friends into a commitment to go out to dinner Saturday night. Despite my long list of wonderful restaurants I need to try or visit again, the overriding criterion that keeps asserting itself is "warm place with a roaring fireplace." I don't have a list for that. Other than Selena's, a strong contender, what restaurants fit this bill?

For me, it's the back room at Baxter Station.

"The fireplace room" - that sounds enticing.

Re: Cracker Barrel - do they have a good wine list, or can you bring your own and have them cork it for you?

I think their corkage fee only applies to anything that doesn't say "Boone's Farm" on the label... :)

Yes yes - Baxter Station wins my fireplace award. It gets nice and warm in their back room when the fireplace is kicking.

Avalon

It is an electric fireplace if that counts.

L&N! they have many to choose from. But Make sure you ask chef Rick to do something special and off of the menu for you...he really enjoys accomodating special requests on Saturday nights.
