Oyster Stew

by TeriCP » Fri Jan 08, 2010 3:43 pm

With all this cold, I have a hankering for Oyster Stew. I even looked at Kroger for a canned version.
I'm sure that I'm the only one in the house who will let this touch their tongue. Any suggestions where I can get a "to go" order? Closer to outer Highlands, the better. Being an Ohio Valley native, I don't want to drive far in this mess.

My grandma used to feed a canned version years ago....but I couldn't find any, 'course, I'm 49...I can't remember even what brand it was..

Flabbys?

Kingfish?

Mike Linnig's?

Rivue?

These are all places that have had it at one time or another.

MMmmm... Flabby's has it on the menu.. gonna call Greg and crew for a "go" order. I can feed everybody in the house from there AND get my fix.

For the record, before I retired from a local gov't municipal agency, Mazzoni's/Flabby's did some group catering for me... The Haners' were awesome. Did an absolute great job providing dinners for about 30-40 people. I always left the menu up to them and they did great!
