Why worry about it? Do you use soda fountains? Have you contracted anything from them? It's like worrying about getting struck by lightning.

It does not mean a thing, really. Water fountains...bathroom faucets..hospitals...anything have it.

n a statement to ABCNews.com, the Coca-Cola Company said it was unaware of any illnesses related to its fountain-dispensed beverages, and that it “has been serving fountain beverages for more than 120 years.”

You might want to order that Coke boiled.

It's interesting the article mentions coliform bacteria. The last two houses we lived in here had drilled private wells and we would have our water tested occasionally. After a few years the results would come back positive for coliform bacteria. It was mostly blamed on the presence of dead vegetation in the area, you know leaves and stuff in the fall. The solution? You have to "shock" the well with a gallon of bleach to kill the nasties, then run the water until the bleach smell is gone.

It makes you wonder which is worse, drinking coliform- or bleach-laced water?
