justin, i'm confused, are you saying in order to be classified as a chain, they can't be all in one city, therefore being in different states?
according to this statement, boombooz would qualify as a chain. (5) in all including the new tap house on westport.
from what i heard in the local food industry circles. his plans now to go into franchising and branch out of state.

I just don't like putting a local business that is doing well and expanding into the same category as O'Charles, Taco Bell, Olive Garden, ect. If Tony "sells out" and goes into the franchise business then I'll put him right there in the chain group. I don't think it is out of the question for an owner/operator to run the few locations of Boombozz currently in Louisville and not be considered a chain. None of the Boombozz locations fit into the standardized chain look, they are all different, even different menus. The term chain just has negative connotations that Boombozz doesn't deserve.
All I know is that we have over 80 employees who have jobs, and we are paying our taxes and doing our part to help support this community. So you can "tag" us however you see fit. Regardless of our size or where we expand to, we will never, NEVER, compromise our standards and quality. I hope to see in one our our restaurants, wherever they are located

now just for the sake of discussion. i disagree. first off people tend to be hung up because boombozz is local. look at papa john's he started off local, he became a chain.
i hate to break it to you justin, but that is where boombozz is heading. this has nothing to to with tony. it could be joe smoe. franchising has already started with boomboz. i know this to be a fact. ( yes tony is still part of it and yes i like his food.)
it just seems that people tend to get blinded because he is a local.
