Go. Now.

All vegetarian menu and even you carnivores won't miss the meat. This food is good and they have a long beer list.

I had a burger and the hand cut fries. DH had the Philly Cheese steak and DD had a Reuben and mac and cheese. All familiar names and tastes. All vegetarian and most vegan. If you let yourself enjoy the food I'm bettin' you won't miss the meat at all. Better for you too! And live music some nights.

Seconding (thirding?) these recommendations. I was there before the week we left for Germany, and my wife the vegetarian loved it. Me, the carnivore, didn't notice the difference. And, as noted, great beers on tap. Just watch your head if you're tall like me ...

I got carry-out for dinner tonight, a reuben with fries and a green tea soda, yum! I like the feel of the place, and especially found it quirky and fun that they were watching Pee Wee's Big Adventure on the big screen. I will go back to try more!

If you friend them on Facebook, you'll get their specials, live music and game and movie night announcements.

Thanks, Leah. I saw that on their website and already did it. :)

Okay, now that I've sung their praises and all, I have to say one teeny critique. I was surprised my reuben was served on rye bread just right out of the package. I personally believe that the bread for a reuben should always be grilled or toasted. Maybe it's just me! It was still delicious, but if I'm paying around $8-9 for a small sandwich and some fries, little touches like that make a big difference. I'll still go back and recommend them and all, but I'd recommend them even more strongly if they made this little change! :D

I've only had vegetarian Rubens and I dont think the bread has ever been grilled or toasted.

Hmm, maybe it's just a personal quirk of mine, but for some reason I had the idea in my head that that was the way it was commonly done. It's no crime either way, but I guess I just think that grilling the bread just shows a little extra love. Throwing a hot sandwich on plain bread just seems kind of. .. uh. . . lacking in love. lol

Last night was movie night and they showed Pee Wee's Big Adventure. I hadn't seen it in years and was rolling laughing. I like Swan Dive. Becca, the owner, is very friendly and they have a nice beer selection. Haven't tried the food yet..

Yes, 3rd Ave definitely grills the veggie Reuben. Sometimes the bread has enough grill on it to actually hurt as you bite into it.
