Sushi prices are pretty similar anywhere you go.

Trisha, remember that remarkable meal we had at Sake Blue? I've gone back three or four times for lunch and I think it is a real winner. http://www.sakeblue.com/

Osaka on Frankfort Ave has fantastic sushi... its also cool to be able to watch them prepare it for you. prices are really affordable. you can also hit up any of the other places on the ave after you eat for a cocktail or beer. tons of good stuff all within a short distance.

I'm with Gayle. I prefer Sake Blue to any other sushi in town, but its just so far away from me that I don't go there very often. The drive is definitely worth it for a special occasion though.

Sake Blue is great for its huge variety of maki-zushi rolls, specifically, and for atmosphere. For nigiri-zushi, though, and for overall quality, it's hard to beat Sapporo or Oishii on Bardstown or Tokyo on Lime Kiln for a seriously splendid sushi experience that's a lot easier for urbanites to reach when you're jonesing badly for raw fish, artfully prepared.

She snuck and ate sushi for lunch!
We just stayed in Etown and had steak at Texas Roadhouse. Certainly not highbrow, but consistently good steaks in our area.

We ate there New Year's Eve and you're right they usually are pretty consistent. Our meal was good. Not a lot of choices here though. I wish we had more locally owned places, other than Mexican and Chinese.
