Great Christmas Eve meal at Selena's

by Karen H » Sat Dec 26, 2009 12:40 am

Thanks to everyone (especially Zach our server) at Selena's for a wonderful Christmas Eve meal. The seafood platter and New Orleans medley were great as usual and the fire was wonderfully warm!! :D :D

Karen, thanks for the kind words. I am glad you enjoyed your meal. Hope you had a great Christmas and a happy upcoming New Year. We will keep the fireplace burning for your next visit, and I will thank Zach for taking care of you. Thanks again. Chris

<sniff> Becky and I have came to the conclusion that the good food and great service at Selena's has stunted our exploration of the Louisville dining scene. Our dining pattern goes like this...Selena's for the Shrimp Manale, try somewhere else, back to Selena's for the Gumbo, try somewhere else, back to Selena's for the Pasta, try somewhere else. :P

The off-menu nightly specials we've tried have always been very-very good. Last night Becky had the Grouper with Manale Sauce w/ sides of red beans and rice and something else (I can't recall exactly) and said it was awesome. The Halibut special they ran several times last year was to freaking die for and we're both chomping at the bit for Halibut to come back into season.
