Last night my wife and I, along with another couple, visited Grape Leaf for dinner with a family that is recently-arrived from Lebanon. The family has three young sons, ages 8, 7 and 4.
I wish I could remember the name of our server, but he was a saint! He patiently explained the menu to our friends, whose English is still pretty spotty, answered numerous questions, kept up with booster chair for the little guy, drinks, to-go boxes for the leftovers, etc. He was attentive without being obtrusive.
And the food, as always, was terrific. Our friends (who should know) judged the falafel very good. Two of us had the kufta plate, which I had never tried before, and the lamb was excellent - perfectly cooked, moist and flavorful. (No leftovers on my plate!!)
