LHB message filters

by Jackie R. » Sat Dec 12, 2009 1:43 pm

Hey Robin, I was going to ask you in private msg, but I thought it may be a topic on other foodie minds, too. I was checking my inbox earlier and saw mention that a msg was deleted due to message filters - I'm assuming it was an incoming (it better be!). So what sort of filters are in place? Was someone cussing me out or trying to make me buy something?

Ahh ... Jackie, that's just geek wording that came with the software. All it means is that you have a limit of something like 50 PMs in your box, and when it's full, when a new one comes in, the oldest one falls off.

You can go to User Control Panel and set other options, I think, but as I recall, they're worse. For instance, you can tell it that if your PM box is full, any new messages will be rejected, d'oh.

But that's all it means: Your oldest message got filtered off when the newer one came. You know we don't go for censorship and such around here! :D

I know! That's why it bugged me so much! I feel like I've seen that before on my computer with a better explanation, but I'm on my phone today. I feel like a goober.
