Founders Beer Dinner

by Tisha Dean » Fri Dec 11, 2009 11:55 am

I would also like to announce our Founders beer dinner! It will be held on Monday, December 14th at 6:30pm at Brendan's Irish Pub in St. Matthews. We are limited to 40 people so make your reservations early! The dinner will be a filling six courses and will cost $45.00 per person. You can call 502-895-1212 and talk to the manager on duty to make your reservation.

Founder’s hails from Grand Rapids Michigan and their great ales made it to Kentucky about a year ago. They craft incredible “food” beers and each beer will be paired perfectly to accentuate it’s flavor. I look forward to seeing you all there! Below is a brief menu for the evening.

Centennial IPA
Fresh wilted spinach salad with Gorgonzola cheese, walnuts and prosciutto with a bacon vinaigrette.

Harvest Wet Hop Ale (You will not find this beer anywhere else)
Home made Squash Cirano bisque

Old Curmudgeon Ale
Cheese Tray with Roasted cherries & goat cheese encrusted with nuts. Served with assorted fruits.

Back Woods Bastard
Spiral cut roasted pork loin stuffed; with smoked meats & Manchango cheese; encrusted in herbs.

Red’s Rye P.A.
As a palate cleanser; home made Blood orange sorbet.

Breakfast Stout-“Randallized” with espresso beans
Flour-less chocolate tort.

Cheers!

I am soooo stuffed. The pours of Founders were very large, the servings were huge, and the pairings were perfect. Thanks so much to the staff at Brendans and Tish for the best tasting I have been to in years. Oh man I am going to have dreams about that goat cheese. Num num num.
