Maybe we can create a local "Bar mall" on Main and Fourth Street can go away.

This is great news but I was hoping for the BBC to be IN the Arena. We also need locals IN THERE. Wouldn't it be nice to get a dog from Lonnie's or a slice of Wick's or Boombozz while watching the Cards while sipping a Dark Star Porter from BBC or a Pale Ale from Cumberland? It would be a classy touch.

But I am excited to hear about the new businesses opening up downtown. That block of East Main has been neglected FAR too long.

Yeah, Adam... That does sound wonderful. What I would give for a Lonnie's dog while watching a college basketball game. I probably wouldn't even be mad if they jacked up the price in the arena, haha.

I asked about this when in Indy on Wednesday. Word is: At least $5,000 in "advertising," and maybe as much as $10,000, to (we can't use the word "buy" here) a tap in Lucas Oil Stadium, or in short, to shift revenue to the concessionaire so that folks can root for the local eam at the profound expense of the local purveyor.

It's BS, always has been, and always will be. And you wonder why I hate corporate chain think?

How did BBC get into PJCS? For those of us without access to the boxes or BW Club, that beer is the alcohol of choice (besides minis...). That's only 6 games or a few events a year. Is there hope that BBC or someone else could get in there?

I don't work at BBC but know from my many years there:
BBC was not required to pay any fees to be in the stadium or at Churchill Downs or Freedom Hall. They were wanted by management of those operations. Again, all beer sold at those venues were purchased from BBC's distributor River City and prior Mo Moorman.

The question is this: Since River City Distributing carries BBC, Cumberland Brews, Brownings, and NABC, why can't we (all local breweries) get just one kiosk at Slugger Field without paying ransom?

Be careful ... Dale Owens will come parachuting in here to malign your character if you keep talking sense.

I hear he's a big fan of SN Celebration Ale.

This may have been in the link (I didn't read it yet) I read somewhere that Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen just signed to sell Ice Cream in the new arena.

So that's one local signed up. You know Papa John will be selling pizza, which is technically 2 I guess...

Nah, that's Gary Ulmer. They used to do good cop, bad cop -- Ulmer says he's a fan, and then Owens rips your flesh.
