If you were stranded on a deserted island . . .

by Brian Curl » Wed Dec 09, 2009 12:22 pm

for the rest of your life, and you could choose one food, plate, entree, etc and one adult beverage, what would you choose?

That's a tough one!

Well, the one adult beverage would definitely be a single-barrell bourbon. I'd settle for Pappy 15yr.

I'm sure if I had to, I could eat either pizza or tacos and drink beer everyday for the rest of my life and not mind one bit. :D

I'm with you Dan. I think I could eat pizza every day. I don't have it more than once every 2 weeks, however! For a drink....I think in the long run it would have to be a cold diet coke from the can.

Graeter's Black Raspberry Chip ice cream washed down by Jamet Cote Rotie that has aged 15-20 years.

BTW, I wasn't aware that Diet Coke qualified as an adult beverage. <===note effective use of emoticon to avoid offending anyone.

I said Rootbeer because my first choice of bourbon does NOT go well with Cheese Fries. Er, so I've heard.

Grilled Jumbo Shrimp (butterflied if possible) with Blanton's. Coconut water as needed.
Thinks the frosty mug is the low point in American history.

but what pizza and what beer? If you just ask for beer you are going to just get any beer or any pizza, which one could you live on forever?

I'd choose Cumberland's Nitro Porter.

Haven't nailed down a specific food yet.

I think Geno's East(from Chicago) and Dortmunder Gold from Great Lakes Brewing Co(I('ve been knocking down a lot of those lately). :D

Honestly, I do not eat pizza. Probably had something to do with overkill in college and most of the 90's.

I don't think I could pin point the beer at this point. I have not had one beer from either NABC or Cumberland Brews that I don't like. I would say Pizza, but again you are trying to pigeon hole which pizza and it really depends on the mood at the time.
With all of that said - I am going with a USDA Prime 21 day aged Ribeye steak grilled in my own backyard seasoned with soy, worestershire and Montreal steak seasoning. for beer I will take a Nitro Porter (Cumberland) in one hand and a Solidarity Porter (NABC) in the other.

Naahhhhh-nahhhh-nah...You can't changing the rules on us in midstream. You said "one adult beverage" and you didn't say we had to narrow it down to a particular brand or style. :D

I'll meet ya half way though and say "thin crust" and "pale ale". :P
