I hope this tidbit is a little more accurate than the previous one:

Jeffersontown has approved a development plan for an IHOP restaurant at 1401 S. Hurstbourne Parkway — the former site of a Perkins Restaurant and Bakery that was gutted by fire in 2007.

Construction of the new IHOP is expected to begin in upcoming weeks and the restaurant will open in early spring.

So far, this is the plan. Whether or not it changes, no one can say for certain.

I hope it's better than the one in Clarksville because that one is terrible. Service and food quality both have been pretty bad the few times I've been there.

That's par for the course with IHOP these days.

Poor Adam, They have menus on the wall from the past, and it is the one I used as a kid!

umm um, banana nut pancakes with bananas and banana syrup. And I was even allergic to them but I didn't care. Oh yea, and "pigs in blankets" yum!

Not good for the waistline now, but I will make an exception!

I've noticed they're definitely in no hurry, and it doesn't matter if the place is empty, or there's a packed house, service is slower than molasses.

I'm wondering if the Waffle House on the other side of the road is going to suffer because of IHOP. But, being as it's near lodging and more accessible to the interstate, it should be ok.

I think I'd rather go over to Burger Boy and get the blueberry pancakes they make there. I was in last saturday and they looked fantastic.

IHOP still holds a place in my heart as the only place to serve me a nice, hot glass of syrup (apparently they had run out of the little syrup pourer thingies at the one in chicago we went to, so the waitress brought us a drinking glass of hot syrup.)

My husband will be thrilled to know about this!

Now if we could just get Original Pancake House here...or someone that can make their 49ers, I'd be there everyday!!

We were in Burger Boy last Saturday, there was a guy just down the counter from us who looked much like your picture...you?
Also, my vote goes to Waffle House, or(Awful House as we call it)much better than IHOP IMHO.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.
