Latenight Bites

by Matt F » Fri Jun 08, 2007 11:24 am

I'm in need of some decent food at indecent hours.
Last night, some friends and I were looking for some decent bites after midnnght. Now, I know that there's always the Bristol and Ramsi's, but I am seriously burned out on one and refuse to spend my money at the other after a certain point in the night.
I tried Molly Malone's at a little after 11 and they wanted a $2 cover just to sit and order Fish N Chips...which I was appalled at. So I left. General principal and all.
I mean, seriously..I have to pay a cover to order food? Also...I've never heard of a $2 cover in my life...for anything. Seems like a pretty cheap way to squeeze a couple bucks a head out of a huge crowd of people that are already spending money to begin with...IMHO

Who out there is doing decent food between between 12 and 2 A.M?
Nothing super-fancy....but I don't want Denny's/Barbara Lee's.
And please...no Cafe' 360 either.
I don't wanna seem too picky...just some decent food after the 'normal' standard dining hours, without feeling like I'm coming in too close to closing time.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy

Diamante is doing the best late night food in this town, hands down. Plus, it's a great place to grab a quiet late night beer if you want to avoid the noisier parts of the Highlands bar scene.

Agree that is a great place for late night bites. Also early bites. For some reason the apps are left off of the menu. The mussels are excellent.

Went Wednesday night and had the liver and onions. As good as I have ever had. Everything else is fine.

Parking is somewhat limited, however bank parking lot is available after bank closing time. Within a quarter of a block.

Diamante

by Deb Hall » Fri Jun 08, 2007 8:44 pm

I'm sure I'm dreaming to think I'll be able to stay up late enough (that 3 year old wears us out), but the postings have me intrigued: where is Diamante?
