and ANOTHER one bites the dust!

by Gayle DeM » Thu Dec 03, 2009 7:14 pm

Tried to get a to-go order from Shiraz Landis Lake this evening. It's gone, clean as a whistle! :(

When I went to the "Locations" page of the Shiraz Mediterranean Grill webstie it said, " Middletown - New location to be announced".

Aw, Gayle, that's terrible for you! They're practically in your front yard, I know you're sad about this... Maybe Java can start serving Mediterranean food! That reminds me... *mental note* - need to pick up a fresh bag of Cherokee Triangle roasted beans.

Gayle,

I got a note from Restaurants.com a couple of weeks ago that they were closed and no longer part of the program. Been meaning to call them and have my gift cards to Shiraz reassigned to another place. Sorry we didn't get to try Shiraz.

Steve, what a great idea! You mean restaurant.com will exchange/reassign my coupons?

Funny that I didn't get any email from them, no not funny, I just bought it earlier this week!

I realize there are other Shiraz MG. What is making me sad is the fact the I could walk to this one. :(

:D On the bright side, Jasmine Chinese Cuisine has moved down one door to a much larger place, with an expanded menu and highest grade product and it, too, is walkable from my home.

(Much as I like Shiraz MG, I'm not going to get in the car and drive all the way down Shelbyville Rd. or drive the Gene Synder to get take out at one of the other venues. Now I will only stop by if I am hungry and in the vicinity.)

They didn't bite the dust, they have moved up by Krogers in Middletown (at least this is what they told me when I stopped by a few weeks ago and they were packing up) to the spot that used to house the Chinese Restaurant, they said they were not getting enough traffic in Landis Lakes. It was hard to see tucked back in there and many people probably didn't know they were there. I used to stop in there quite often too, will be heading up the road now.

Oh thank you, Anne. I'll check it out tomorrow. Not like I will walk there, but I go that way frequently, like to the bank, to get gas, to get groceries. You made my day. Again thank you, Anne. :D :D :D

I hope what they told me was true because I liked it also, I live right out in English Station and it was convenient and good

I used to frequent this location and Mike, the owner, told me as well they would be moving to the Kroger shopping center. They closed in early November. He told me when they were slated to re-open but I can't recall the exact date. Seems like it was Dec. 5, but I'm not sure.

Well looks like is true that the Shiraz that was in Landis Lakes will not be moving to Middletown. I ate in the one on Hurstbourne tonight and aksed and they told me that the owner had planned on re-opening but something happened and they decided not too, so we will have to make the trek into Hurstbourne Lane after all.

Boo hiss! :(

Much as I have hear positive about Wild Eggs, I don't see me visiting them often. I don't like to pay much more than $6.00 for lunch(all I need is a sandwich and a glass of water), so I'm not excited to pay $10.00+ for breakfast when it doesn't take a mental heavy weight to make a bowl of oatmeal at home which is much more healthful than most Wild Eggs offerings and defintely less expensive.

mmm, Wild Eggs. Throw caution to the wind one morning and try the granola. House made and fab. I do not want to know how many calories are in it.
