Soooo.....TOP CHEF!

by David Clancy » Wed Dec 02, 2009 11:44 pm

I must admit that I am addicted to this show (and even applied though I know they are looking for cutting edge and I'm old..). I'm almost sure that Michael wins on bad-ass technique though I wish Kevin takes it on humility and straight forward execution. Marsha...what's your take? Anyone?? (FYI. Stephan was by far the best of ANY contestant, and yes, that includes Hung, Fabio, Hosea, and everyone else as far as pure execution and skill set goes....dude had it!) Anyway, WHO WINS!!

Probably Michael, but I'm rooting for Kevin. So sorry that Jennifer just seemed to fall apart the last few weeks.

Indeed, she started so strong and fizzled out..she has chops but I think she was in over her head from the start and let the "show" wear her down. Shame, cause she could compete given that "finale" and her shroom dish rocked!!

50/50 Depends on who does the better job of expressing thier style:

Clean, clear and simple flavors and techniques: Kevin

Elegant, supressed flavors and high technnique: Michael

Kevin comes off humble and old school, so most would like his persona better. I enjoy Michael's confidence, albeit taken a bit far at points. He doesn't think he can, he knows he can. That's the same reason why Ray Lewis is my favorite football player. Intensity and drive. I'm sure if you told him he could win if only he chewed a mouthfull of concrete, he would pick up a handfull without hesitation, lol.

I'm a Kevin fan, but I think you guys have Michael mixed up with his brother Brian. Brian is the one with the complicated elegant dishes. Michael is the impetuous younger brother with the tattoos and the bad temper.

Both brothers have been rude & nasty throughout this whole competition when there was no need for it...for that alone I hope they both lose...talent, attitude, and respect have by far made Kevin the favorite to win. GO KEVIN !!!!!

Ignoring cooking skills for a moment and operating on the assumption that we are seeing glimpses of true personality in the contestants, there have been more than a couple who (IMHO) need a serious ass kicking... I would put Jennifer at the tippy top of that list followed very closely by the Voltagglio brothers and that little prick Michael Isabela. Oh and don't get me going about that bee-ache Patma...

<sigh> I hate cooking contest shows...So why is it I like this one so much. :P

GO KEVIN !!! :D

Yup, you're right!

After 8 years in Orlando, my name recognition skills are shot. I am talkin about the younger brother. I didn't see last weeks episode, yet I feel he deserved to have moved on. Indeed, I took it to be a certainty.

I think the top 6 were the best, xept Robin (only because she was in over her head for this, how much ya wanna bet she rocks extremely good food in her own place!)

If it was the elder brother that moved on, Kevin beats him hands down, any day...

Naw, Michael (the impetuous younger...) is the bad-ass of this group and they "sort of" explained why in an earlier episode. Brian knows only his restaurant while younger arrogant bastard Michael has been around the block and been exposed to much more. While I like the elder Voltagio much more, his dishes don't explode and he can't think outside the box like tattoo can. The little cocky bastard is gonna win and he and Brian are gonna share the winnings. I love Kevin too (though he does kinda remind me of Yukon Cornelious from Rudolph....think "silver and gold") but Michael's gonna take it. My prediction, Elder goes next followed by Kevin with punk brother winning on a bitchen presentation and some super complicated execution....
