Cocos Lokos

BTW, I forgot to post this last week!

Went with my son to Cocos Lokos so he can see his old friends from Mojito and Havana R.

Had the Ceviche of the day for an app. Yummy, fresh and full of citrus flavor.
Had the Curry Pork for an entree, took some of it home for my son's midnight munchies.
I have to tell you that dish is CRACK! Call the DEA. I could eat that 7 days a week, and it comes highly (pun) recommended!

Two Thumbs up to this new place. Everyone in my group enjoyed their food. And a great value, prices are very affordable and reasonable for the great food. I had jerk chicken, $9.99 but a lot of food and very good and complex flavors. Good custard/flan for dessert also.

By far one f my favorite new restaurants. Had an amazing experience and am THRILLED to have TRUE Peruvian ceviche among other traditional LA dishes. The lomo saltado and ceviche nearly brought a tear to my eye just remembering how good the food was when I lived in Peru. This place will be a mainstay for me for some time to come.

Dinner tonight was great. Awesome mojito (a bit on the small size for the price) and killer food. Appetizers included Mofongo Caribeno and it was wonderful- smashed plantains with spices and chicken. I had Curry Curry Pork and was not let down. Tres Leche is in the frig as a take-out dessert for later. This place will leave a big mark on this town if anybody can find it. Going back Friday or Saturday for more.

Mark, next time get the pitcher of mojitos if you/your company will be having more than 2 total.

I think they're like $8 each, or $20 for the pitcher. The pitcher easily has 6-8 glasses in it - very large. We couldn't finish the pitcher, but it was still cheaper than ordering by the glass. Drink 3 and you've paid for the pitcher.

The wife and I went to dine there the other evening and I can do nothing but heap more praise on this place. I'm so pleased to have this restaurant in my backyard. The food, service and atmosphere were all terrific. I can see this becoming a place I'll eat at with great frequency!
