Doing our Part: Hoptimus On Tap at Ray's

by Nimbus Couzin » Fri Nov 27, 2009 1:56 pm

In our effort to bring high quality local beer to everyone in Louisville, and to support our local businesses and friends, Ray's Monkey House Coffeeshop now has New Albanian Hoptimus on tap at our shop.

Stop by and enjoy a fresh pint. Free awesome jazz tonight by "The Outfit" and friends. (they play every Friday here, and are an amazing jazz band)...Good brew and good music, how can you go wrong?

Cheers!

Thanks for your efforts Nimbus! The Outfit has played the Bank Street Brewhouse several times. They do some rockin' good jazz.

Yeah, they're all classically trained (I think all U of L school of music), but their youth (early twenties) brings a lot of energy. Oops, I think their guitarist - charlie- is self taught. He teaches guitar now! He reminds me of John Mclaughlin (from Mahavishnu Orchestra) if anyone knows that stuff.

Glad they've played at Bank street.

I can see the McLaughlin influence with a little Pat Metheny for good measure.

Love the Outfit, and happy to see Hoptimus pouring. I'll be over when there's time.

Time? What's that?
