Butterfly Garden at Dolfinger's

by Eliza W » Mon Nov 23, 2009 2:32 pm

I took my daughter to the Dolfinger's location of Butterfly Garden Cafe. I have to admit that I was expecting a tea house- delicate finger foods and teas. Instead, it is a lunch place with rather hefty portions. I had the grilled cheese, bacon, and apple sandwich. It had nice, thick bacon, crisp apples, and sharp cheese. I would have asked for no mayo, but that was my only problem. It came with a big serving of peppery chips and some cornbread. My daughter ate the Tuscan tomato soup. I can't say how it was because she inhaled it without giving me a bite. She also had a giant piece of peanut butter cake; it was moist and gently flavored with peanuts.

The tea came in a bag, but it was a good brand. Most people were having iced tea or soda.

The only man around was the server. Overall, a good place for a girls' day.
