Now that I have Thanksgiving off for the first time in years, it seems that our house is the chosen destination for a good portion of the family this year. We will be entertaining 20+ this year.
I really don't have problems with the food, but I do have an uppity aunt on the wife's side of the family coming down from Cinci that I want to impress with the grape juice. (You know being a Chef and all)
Here's what I already have on hand...
Kim Crawford Chardonnay, New Zealand
Jekel Riesling, Monterey
Alta Vista Cabernet, Argentina
Stephan Vincent Pinot Noir, Sonoma Co.
Alian Jaume & Fils Reserve Grand Veneur Cotes Du Rhone, France
and last but not least
Georges Dubeuf Beaujolais Nouveau (It is that time of year).
Any other suggestions? I like to think I know something about wine, but I just go with what I like most of the time. I'm not looking to spend more than $25 a bottle, but there has to be something else out there to impress that goes with the traditional holiday fare.
