Omar's Gyro

The bf and I went to dinner here Friday night, and we were quite pleased. The food was good (we both had gyros and hummus), and the service was really friendly!! I still like the hummus at Safier the best, but this was still good stuff. If you're thinking about going, I believe they still have gift certificates available on http://www.restaurant.com (50% off for $3).

Ditto on the hummus at Safier's, I just ate lunch there yesterday... their grape leaves are quite tasty as well. I have not eaten at Omar's yet.

Safier's is good but I think Al-Watan has no equal.

Shiraz's hummus is no slouch either

Omar's is a must! By far the best gyro I have had in Louisville. The hummus is divine, and the baklava is also delish. He puts a drop of rose syrup on it...very interesting taste! I highly recommend the place, I just wish it was in a more accessible area of town...
