Mexican Restaurant coming to Glenmary Plaza

by James Natsis » Sun Nov 15, 2009 1:39 pm

I just learned that a Mexican restaurant is coming to Glenmary Plaza--Bardstown Rd, 1 mile south of Gene Snyder. The former coffee shop is currently being converted into a "Fiesta Time." I visited the website (there is another one off Chamberlain Lane). It is not very inspiring, but nonetheless offers all of the predictable selections of any other tex-mex establishment. In any event, for us South Bardstown Road Folk, it is one more choice for when we don't feel like wandering too far from home.

I'm interested to see how it compares to Puerto Vallarta in the same area.

I ate there once--not very impressive. I live in Glenmary, so at the very least Fiesta Time may serve as an alternative to Subway and Pizza Hut for a quick fix (although I go to neither)! The new Thai restaurant, though not the best in town, offers a nice option. And if you think about it, Boombozz on Taylorsville next to the Snyder is only about 10 minutes from there.

I've eaten @ the one off Chamberlin lane. It was ok..but nothing to write home about. It was along the lines of El Nopal.
