Question on 610 Magnolia's Inferno Dinner

by Jennifer M » Sun Nov 08, 2009 7:43 pm

Does anyone remember the name of the final lamb dish that was served at the Inferno Dinner? My husband says that even without the heat it would be a great dish. I wonder if any Indian restaurants serve something similar.

I still owe the forum a review of sorts, but for now here's the info on that last course...

It was:
Slow Roasted Goat Chettinad with Bhut Jolokia Peppers.

It was accompanied on the side with an amazing Bhut Jolokia pepper sauce (wish I could by it in a bottle!) and an extra Bhut Jolokia pepper, that seemed to have been given a chipotle style smoking.

I also was planning on doing a review on the dinner. But another question to whoever went.... We had to leave after the goat chettinad because of baby-sitter problems. Was there anything after that? And if so, what was it? Also, we were dying to know what the "special prize" was for those making it through everything.

Bombay Grill has Chicken Chettinad on their menu and it is outstanding.

Just to be clear, the Chettinad wa the fourth course. The only thing after that was the desert. Didn't miss much with that IMHO.

They didn't hand out any prizes as for as I saw. I did fill out a card with my name and address, so there's still hope something might arrive in the mail.

Thanks. Bombay Grill is our favorite Indian restaurant. I told my husband they have a chicken version there.

The desert was a panna cotta but I was not able to get there. My husband finished the entire meal and also filled out a card but has not received anything yet.
