Lunch at Shady Lane Cafe today......

.....was AWSOME! I just love that place. Everytime we go it is just better and better. Today the special was fried fish and it was heavenly. The folks there are the nicest too. Can't remember their name, sorry about that. Just wanted to say how much we always, always enjoy this Louisville original!!!

Probably Bill and/or Susie. And you're right - they do a great job. I'm amazed at the quality and variety of food that comes out of that "kitchen."

Had the family there at lunch today as well, round about 12:30ish. One of the best salads (mixed greens, granny smith apples, nuts, cranberries, chicken option with the blue cheese vinaigrette) and the best cheeseburger in the land. Bill & Susanne rock the hospitality and the grill. Go.

Definitely one of my go to places when I am heading into Louisville. Great quality food and quick service.
