Louisville Beer Store

They had a good selection of Brownings. I didn't see any BBC and NABC doesn't bottle or can. The place is very small and there were quite a few small problems with the operation. No prices on the "to go" selections and the draft prices were being posted at 7:00.

$.75 for 2oz
$5.00 for 10oz

You do the math.

There wasn't any food in sight. I was under the impression The Patron was creating beer inspired dishes. They is no seating in the building at all. The bar holds about 10 people (no chairs) and another beer cap table holds 4-6.

The beer selection is impressive. There were a number of brews that I haven't seen before. I would say the selection is 65% import vs. 35% domestic. I tried the Brooklyn Savoir Faire, Ommegang Grand Cru Rouge, and Great Divide 15th Anniversary. Great Divide was my favorite by far, the Ommegang and Brooklyn were not my style.

I ran into Brad K and we chatted a few minutes about servers, socialism, and beer.

Seviche
We arrived at 7:30 and the place looked empty. Great, no problem getting a table; wrong! I ask the hostess for a table for two and she said they were booked solid. (Lots of empty tables) They would have tables in the dining room at 9:00, but there is open seating in the bar area with plenty of available tables. We headed into the bar and grabbed a two top right behind the bar. A server walks by and asks if we were given menus when were were seated. I explained we were following the hostess advice and using the open seating in the bar and had seated ourselves. She said the only open seating in the bar is at the bar itself and our table was reserved and we would have to move. So, we moved. We moved a few blocks down the street to De La Torre's and were welcomed with open arms.

It was our first visit, but defiantly not our last. The place was packed and we grabbed a table towards the back.

Margarita

Bells Lager - horrible effort by Bells

Dead Guy Ale - much better

Chorizo, Serrano ham, Goat cheese, and Quail egg Montadito - Maybe the best thing I have ever eaten. Couldn't believe how awesome it was.

Pork, Manchego cheese, Dates Montadito - Good, but not close to the chorizo.

Albondigas - great texture, ok flavor

Embutidos - good

Chocolate Moose - small, but wonderful

Hey Justin!

Sorry about the confusion, we could of been a little more clear on our situation. We had a table of 35, 22, 18 and were completly booked. We did 260 covers last nite. We actually had patrons sit outside near the heaters. I apologize if we didn't seem more welcoming. Hope you give us another try!

muchas gracias y buen provecho!
