Velocity raves about Baxter Station

by Robin Garr » Sat Jun 02, 2007 8:57 am

If Velocity's Lisa Hornung rated restaurants in her "Two for $30" series, there's no question in my mind that she would have granted four stars to Baxter Station, which she describes - fairly enough - as "a local staple since 1989 that always serves quality food." She could have mentioned the chicken wings, but still ... great props for Baxter Station, a deserving recipient.

Baxter Station is a Louisville institution for good reason. One of the most comfortable and satisfying casual restaurant/pubs in the city. No wonder it is always packed with regulars.

Oh man, is she right on with that fish sandwich from Baxter Station. It is so delicious. I usually eat the sandwich with one piece of fish, and take the other piece home for another.

The service is always friendly and the food good and reasonable. Andrew definitely has the right formula there!
