Downtown Trolley Hop Tonight

Perfect weather. Great time to try a new restaurant/bar and return to one that you haven't been to in awhile. We are starting out at Yangkee Noodle (coupon) but will head down there. Brownings? New beer store? BBC Tap Room? I like the Bristol Bar on Main.

Hit Felice and the Bodega there. Nice crowd plus Linda Jones was there with her pottery. Caught up with Lisa Stephenson and Todd, had a glass or so of wine, listened to a 2 man band and had the Bodega@F cook up a pizza to specs. A good night.

Great to see you out John! (as in, outside of Kindred!!)
I too had a pizza from the Bodega. Chicken pesto pizza on that crunchy thin crust with a ton of basil !! My new favorite.
The first Friday crowd was steady especially at the Felice winery. Linda Jones' prices on her pottery were so reasonable. I bought a beautiful red and gold bowl. She has a great sense of humor...did you see the gigantic roller skate complete with pom poms??? Hope we see you back there.
Anyone else make a purchase??

The skate, yes. Did you see the monkey on its back with four legs holding up a party tray? Thought about using it to hold up a monitor then realized its behind would be pointed at me half the day...

CK, where have you been and Stephen too?

Dumante was in attendance last night, in rare form and had a ball working with the community, new and old!

The night started at Boudreaux's, located in the old Petrus location. Stunning facillity, with 3 levels. From what I understand they will be serving cuisine on the first level. The second level will be dedicated to a jazz club. The third level is slotted for parties. I didn't catch the chef's name, but he's quite the smart fella...

From there we attended the MS Gala. Jarfi and Co. handled the event, so I only had a moment and a handshake with him. I recognized the 'I got a biziilion things to do' look on his face. Hehe... we've all been there and I got quite the chuckle outta seeing this third-person-like. They killed it! From what I saw, a flawless event! Go on with your bad-selves, hehe!

Anoosh was in the house, and how can you not walk away from a conversation with him with a warm, fuzzy feeling? Really? Just makes me proud to be in the same room with such a class-act! Looking back on it now, I kinda laugh to myself in that he gave me the hanshake and I totally pulled the 'shoulder-to-shoulder-hip-hop-pat-on-the-back' thing. Heelarious! 'We give hugs around here!'

I got to meet Daniel Stage. One of the highlights of my night. We were chirping like a couple of birds for quite some time! Optomistically creative, my kinda guy! Chef, if you're reading this... I'm comin' your way and let's have some fun!

Of course, I was repping Dumante. We were pairing it with all of the offerings around us. Pama = Nuts and Berries. That killer lamb = need I say more? Consumer's Choice had a big-dog coffee and you know I'ma gonna tell people to add a little shot to that... the applications are almost endless! Did I say rare-form?

At the end of the night, I stopped into Fusion and briefly spoke with April Adams, all aglow in her maternal bliss. For me it was a perfect cap to an evening out and about, immersed in what makes our community so great!
