Louisville Beer Store

Anyone know anything about this, like who is behind it, etc.? I'm not on Facebook, so I can't check it out there.

Brokensidewalk.com mentioned that it will also pair foods from the Patron. Sounds intriguing, and yet another cool addition to NuLu. Glad to see things happening over there.

Some good beer people are behind it. They are going to focus just on specialty beers. I believe they are going to have a pretty good growler system there as well, so lots of draft as well. They are good people as well.

Aside from a bunch of people posting on their "wall", there isn't a whole lot of detailed info on facebook. The pictures that are posted are not very telling...15 or 20 pictures and most seem to have nothing to do with the establishment. Apparently they will have food from The Patron (not sure what or how they will pull that off), as well as a selection of cheeses, etc. Think I read something about glassware and beer gifts but I'm on my first cup of coffee and don't have my instant recall working yet. Not sure about the claim to be L'villes "First and Only" Craft beer store, kinda thought maybe "The Barn" (and others) had that covered...but hey, if you narrow the definition of anything down enough you can make all kinds of magical things come true.

Cool concept. Hope they do well.

I chuckled at that at first too, but apparently they are only going to carry craft and good import beers, no swill. I'm guessing that is their definition of a craft beer store, as they won't carry Bud/Miller/Coors products.

That is both delightfully and dangerously close to my house...

Just received this email from Lori:

Hello friends!

As most of you know, my partner Tyler and I have been working hard to open the Louisville Beer Store, the first and only store dedicated to specialty craft beer. This beer boutique will sell specialty craft bottles, fill growlers, and offer beer flights and tastings. In addition, The Patron will be creating beer inspired foods daily for the store. For the first friday trolley hop, A Beer Art Label exhibition will be on view.

We open the store at 5pm tonight! Hope you can make it!

Store Hours:
Monday - CLOSED
Tuesday thru Thursday - 12pm to 10pm
Friday thru Saturday - 12pm to 12am
Sunday - 1pm to 7pm

Location:
746 East Market Street
(corner of Shelby and Market)
Louisville, KY 40202

Prost. Cheers!.喝采.Salut.....

At the store as I type. For a small space, the selection is incredible
. Bottles and growlers for takeout, or 7 on tap for drinking in the store.

Good draft selection. Perhaps some day they'll do local beers, too :D

Cool brews, but I have to echo Roger: Are they supporting local craft beers too?
