Lunch suggestions in Jtown?

by Kurt R. » Wed Nov 04, 2009 8:39 pm

I am having a business lunch in Jtown and don't know any really good independents other than Johnny V's and i don't think it would work for this lunch. Any suggestions?

Not sure what your limitations are re: size or fancy or whatever, but these are some indys in the area where I work (B'grass Ind. Park):
Bruce's Smokehouse & Ball Park Grill 10317 Watterson Trail 400-4440 BBQ (good stuff)
Joe's OK Bayou 9874 Linn Station Rd 426-1320 Cajun
Erika's German Restaurant 9301 Hurstbourne Park Blvd 499-8822 German (recommended)
Shalimar 1820 S. Hurstbourne Pkwy 493-8899 Indian
El Nopal 10500 Watterson Trail 266-5956 Mexican
El Toro 1810 S. Hurstbourne Pkwy 491-7272 Mexican
Shah's Mongolian Grill 9148 Taylorsville Rd 493-0234 Look it up
Thai Orchids 9114 Taylorsville Rd 493-4073 Thai
Cocus Locos Caribbean Cuisine 1820 S. Hurstbourne Pkwy Caribbean, haven't tried it & have not been able to find a phone number yet, Brand new & local independent
All but Joe's is south of I-64 & so J-town or close enough for horseshoes & lunch

Erika's is not open for Lunch.

Don't forget about Maggie's. It's a nicer place out in J-town that would make a good choice for a business Lunch atmosphere. Their Chicken Tender Salad is delicious.

Juan's is a great place, but I'm not sure it would work for a business lunch.

Second for Maggie's. Perfect for a business lunch. Very good food too.

Coco Loco - I have been and it would be perfect for a lunch meeting. Nice decor, spacious and great food.
My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

I opted for Coco Loco - I will let everyone know how it is. I haven't been there yet.
