Pig City BBQ Closed Today

by Tom Osborn » Tue Nov 03, 2009 8:11 pm

Just a note to be the one to post the closing of Pig City BBQ. There is an old saying what starts right ends right. That definitely does not apply here. I want to thank all of the people for their patronage, we have alot of supporters out there. Susan and I have been fighting to keep the place alive for several months and with the downturn in the economy we just could not survive. We have cut expenses as much as possible but with some sabotage from a member of the LLC, shutting down our website among other things it was just too much to handle. We have become a statistic along with, Mazzoni's, India Palace and now Pig City. We have something in common, the same landlord, enough said..... Stay tuned for future updates...We are working on a new concept, we may not be gone forever... Tom

REALLY sorry to hear that!, Landlords can be a royal obnoxious pain in the rear.
Good luck!

Really sorry to hear it, Tom. Please feel free to stay connected to the forum, as a restaurateur AND as a foodie, and keep us posted on your next venture.

Landlord problems can be very difficult. I can think of quite a few horror stories around town. In fact, another very recent closing involved a space that had been known for landlord issues in the past. (Don't know about the most recently departed tenant, though.)

It was open at its new location for about 5 minutes (only slight exaggeration).
