2 INDEPENDENT RESTAURANTS JOIN FOR HALLOWEEN FUN !!!

by Carol C » Mon Oct 26, 2009 6:18 pm

We stopped by Dinner is Done today for our fried chicken fix and picked up a interesting flyer describing a Pig Roast this Saturday. It is a joint effort between Dinner is Done and Zapata’s Corner and they will be set up in the parking lot under tents. It will feature a whole roasted pig, hot dogs, roasted corn on the cob, baked beans, cole slaw and tamales. For drinks, they will have hot apple cider, sodas, beer, margaritas and sangria. Activities include: best costume contest for kids at 1PM, a best costume for adults at 4 PM., bouncies (sp?) , corn hole and goodies for the kiddos. It is Saturday, October 31 from 12 noon until 7 P.M. at 12001 Shelbyville Road (the old Furrow’s in Middleotwn, coming out of town right before Evergreen Rd.). The food and drinks are sold separately but no charge for the activities. Sounds like a fun event so thought I would let everyone know!!!

Thanks for the tip Carol! Not sure if I can make it since its so far east, but I'll definitely keep it on the short list for Saturday.

This also reminds me that we need to go back to Kentucky BBQ Company sometime so they can roast a whole pig for us like they offered last time. Maybe its because I missed lunch, but the idea of a roast pig has me salivating.
