Does anyone know anything about The Lunch Pail located at the corner of Crittenden & Warnock?

I pass it every day on the bus but it's outside their hours so I've never seen anyone there.

Yes, I live right near there and have been in a few times. It's owned by the same people that own Frank's Meats on Preston Hwy., so naturally all their meat comes from there. The food I have had there has always been good with a homemade twist, like real bacon fried that morning on my salad. It's nothing fancy, but I think it's a FAR better lunch option than the nearby Subway, or Sub-par-way as I like to call it.

What a coincidence! I was JUST driving by earlier today wondering the same thing. It looks a little more eye catching now than maybe a year ago, but I don't know if it was just my curiousity piquing. Surely they get a good UL crowd, and that made me think they started modestly until they had enough revenue to spruce up the facade. It looks adorable, and the fact that they're owned by the Franks Meats people speaks highly.

I just passed by it on the bus too. Here is their menu: http://www.eatatthepail.com/

It looks like a decent place for a cheap lunch! On the other hand, I wonder how quick it is, as it is right next to U Of L.

On another topic, I think that bus 29 should go on the current detour route an alternating trips next year...what do you all think?

Is Shah's Mongolian Grill still there? I haven't seen it as I go past. And I haven't gotten to try the pizza place yet.

Oh, sorry! I was referring to another thread where I mentioned that I planned on trying the pizza place at Eastern Parkway and Bardstown Rd. That didn't make any sense to most though...the pizza place is called PizzAroma
