Yang Kee Noodle- slipped or on a holiday?

by MarieP » Mon May 28, 2007 6:59 pm

I just got back from taking some out-of-town friends to Yang Kee Noodle. We were going to eat at Sari Sari, but they were closed. We were disappointed with the food, and I told them that normally it is a lot better. I thought there was a salty taste in the egg rolls/chop chop noodles that had not been present before.

Has anyone else experienced this lately? Or do you think it is because it is a holiday and there are different chefs there?

I was right in thinking that Simply Thai would be closed, but we could have gone to Lemongrass. Oh well...I just hope this was an "off" experience.

They *did* enjoy Irish Rover, Grape Leaf, the Feed Bag, Goose Creek Diner, Heine Brothers, and tomorrow hopefully Sari Sari or maybe Simply Thai.

I still like Yan kee. However, Lemongrass was majorly disappointing on two occasions for me and my family.

Always Excellent!

I'm sure there must have been some anomaly. Yangkee Noodle has always been excellent in my opinion--and I go there often. You can't beat Firecracker Chicken with a stick!

I'm betting it was, and I suspect that management would be really PO'ed to learn of this. I've admired Yang Kee Noodle's concept and approach and execution from the start ... it's the kind of "fast food" that I can really get used to.

Yeah, this is a pretty good place. It probably was an off-day.
