We were wondering if anyone had tried Bistro 42 yet. It's in Prospect, in the same shopping center as Bristol. We got a menu in the newspaper the other day, but haven't had a chance to go there yet.

Isn't Blackstone Grill in that same shopping center?

No, Blackstone is in the next large shopping center out 42, Prospect Point, and is next to the Prospect Party Store (Jamie's Masticola's great liquor store). Bistro 42 is in first shopping center coming out, between the Bristol and Kroger's. We got their menu also but haven't had a chance to try it. Will post when we do.

We have been several times, Mary Beth, and while the food was OK nothing really stood out as being really good. With so many restaurants close by that have the "wow, that is really delicious" factor going for them it struck me as more of a Sysco cooking spot. Which is fine if that is what you are looking for. They seem to have a good crowd in the evening, as does The Bristol, but I would steer you to Rick Dissel's Blackstone Grille for a much better meal in Prospect proper.

Yes, we like Blackstone a lot. Just wondered about the new place. Since I hadn't read any glowing reviews, or any reviews at all :? , it made me ponder whether to try it or not. Thanks for the info!

Got it, thanks, Carol! As soon as you told me, I realized I should have known that.
