Tico in New Albany??

by Bryan Shepherd » Thu Oct 01, 2009 10:44 pm

I know many of you don't give a hoot, but I spied a Taco Tico sign on Charlestown Rd yesterday in New Albany. It is south of I-265 in what looks to be a former fast food spot, right around Klerner Ln.

Taco Burrito!! :D :D

Mmm, Taco Tico! That would actually probably be more accessible to me than the location way down in the southwest corner. Every time I go to New Albany I'm pleasantly reminded what a short trip it is from urban Louisville.

Takes me 17 minutes from Crescent/Frankfort to the Bank Street Brewhouse most days. The Bridge, get over it!

I wish more people would do this. It seems like alot of people think that the river will burst into flames if they cross the river (in either direction). I can get from my store to downtown Louisville in 5 minutes, and without flames from the Ohio.

One caveat (which explains why I STILL need to get over and see you one of these months): You can get to New Albany across the Sherman Minton Bridge. That's easy. To get to Clarksville or Jeff, though, you've got to deal with Spaghetti Junction. You ever think about doing a daytime or Saturday tasting? ;)

The Kennedy Bridge (heading south) will make sane people think about killing crazy motorists during rush hour! That is the ONLY reason I hate crossing the Kennedy Bridge into Indiana, because I know eventually I will have to go back! There is literally not a good time to cross. Shermin Minton is where cooler heads prevail.

My office is in Jeff. Try getting back to KY at 5 o'clock. As noted above...crime doesn't seem unreasonable. I often take the 2nd St bridge. At least I'm moving and some nut-job isn't trying to cut into the right lane without looking to see if there is an opening. Daily accidents in that southbound right lane from texters, et al.

You can get from downtown New Albany to Clarksville in 10 minutes or so.... I've used the Sherman Minton during bad traffic times to cross over to Kentucky before.

There are times when crossing the Kennedy bridge that I wonder what idiot decided to merge two interstate highways from one lane.
