Thanks to Melillos!

Thank you, Michelle, for a lovely brunch on Saturday!! We had some setbacks, family who could not make it and I had to change the arrangements the day before. We ate on the patio and our server (whose name I managed to forget!) was wonderfull. He anticipated most of our needs, gave excellent service and was not put out having 3 kids at the table, in fact he treated them like they were the most special children in the world (of course, they are my grandkids-so they are!). The food was fabulous. The Nonna's eggs benedict have ruined me for any other (not to mention it could feed 3 people!) and the meatballs were so light (how do you do that?) and flavorfull. The last time I had that good a meatball was when I was a kid and my aunt married into an old-time Italian family, it was my first exposure to "real" Italian food that I have been trying to duplicate my whole life.

If you have not been to the Saurday Brunch at Melillos, you need to be there your very first chance, it is fabulous! :D

Thanks again Michelle for your wonderfull food and hospitality!

My husband and I were also at Melillo's on Saturday. Loved it too!

I had the eggs benedict. And although I couldn't finish it (four eggs!), it was wonderful. Where is Cool Hand Luke when you need him? Husband had the egg sandwich (also HUGE -- seven inches) and pronounced it the best egg sandwich he'd ever had. Our waiter (also didn't catch his name) was most excellent. He even suggested and gave us a couple of iced teas in to-go cups when we mentioned that we had some errands to run before heading home. I suggest that everyone try out Mellilo's Saturday brunch before the rest of the city figures it out.
