What happened to Wathens?

Called there the other day and they answered the phone "5 Points". That was a short lived restaurant. Anyone have any news on this? (BTW this is the old Rick's location at Chenoweth Square.)

Some new investors bought out Bob Wathen and changed the name. He stayed on for a couple of weeks, but they eventually cleaned house.
I liked what Bob was trying to create there. The food was good and Bob's team had put a lot of work into the place. I hope the new ownership shows the same commitment. It is a shame that this location has gone through so many transformations. Personally I believe it is a great spot, centrally located with ample parking. I wish the new ownership the best!

Interestingly, the new owners still have not put up a sign. All the signage has been painted black. It looks rather strange, and is frankly not confidence-inspiring in a place that's seen several lackluster spots come and go very quickly after Rick Dissel left. I'd be delighted to see Five Points thrive, but they're going to have to make some changes.

I agree that Wathen's was an improvement over Gilman's Pointe, by the way - that iteration really hit bottom.
