60 West hosted a quaint Wine dinner with Horseshoe Bend Winery along with our friend Jo Self. Jo puts on a ton of events at several Louisville locations. We had a great time. Just letting the Hotbytes community know that there is someone in town putting on great social events.

Her mission statement is :

to be the premier events company in the region, often with food at its focus, providing three levels of service rarely seen. Why the focus on food? It's simple. Remember the last time you went to a party at someone's house. Where was everyone? The kitchen or around the food. The 'bite' that binds you might say. Currently, all events are open to the public as we grow our members group.

We are committed to promoting and utilizing the best of our region through original events as well as sharing hidden gems that may have passed under the radar.

We provide a members' only social networking group, bringing people together with similar interests and providing an inviting and comfortable environment in which to converse and meet with friends both old and new.

In addition to our exclusive monthly events calendar, you also have the opportunity to work with the Event Savant who will assist with your in-home and small gathering event needs - think private wine dinners with host, bar parties, mixology classes and more.

I love what Jo is doing with that. She has some fantastic ideas! I wish I had gotten involved in some of her outings/classes/dinners/etc... before I moved away. Definitely a great addition to the Louisville foodie community.

I think that when she first started, the community (rightly so) took a cynical view of her concept. Yet, I feel that her dedication and work ethic has begun to gain traction and win over many in the industry. I personally love working with her, because the sky is always the limit, she follows through on her promises and she sincerely loves what she does. She's a pleasure and an asset, in my opinion...
