Man vs. Wild Outdoor Dining Tips: Zebra Tartar Anyone?

by Ray W. » Sun May 27, 2007 2:38 am

Man!...Anybody "catch" his show on the Discovery Channel?...One thing's for sure...There's no question whatsoever about the freshness of the sushi that Bear Grylls serves up...LOL...O'well...Sometimes a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do...Though I believe I gotta draw the line at the survival tip (that he got from an Army Ranger, BTW) of obtaining drinking water by squeezing elephant dung...And yes...In case, you're wondering...Bear demonstrates this technique...He then turns to the camera and states..."I have had better drinks in my day!"...I guess this would be one of those times where a sense of humor can actually help you stay alive...

Eating live maggots pulled from the entrails of a fresh carcass of an animal killed in a winter avalanche.

I saw the episode last night that he ate maggots. yuck.

I see that the second season of Man vs. Wild is scheduled to start Jun 15th...Makes you wonder what kind of stunts this guy is gonna perform next...Perhaps an Eastern Kentucky Mountains episode is in the future...

Hmmmm....I don't think he is going to be satisfied with the excellent cooking in Eastern Kentucky if he is eating maggots. My wife's family and my mom's family don't cotton to fools making fun of mountain cooking.

I watch this series on a regular basis. This guy is most certainly more of a man than I am. I can't say for sure, but if I were in some of those scenarios I reckon I would just die. He must be more in touch with his primal side than I am. I look forward to the upcoming season. It would be cool to drop him off somewhere in a remote spot of Eastern KY and see how he would fare.
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.

Well...Well...Just watched Inside Edition and it seems that our hero has been living the good life (No doubt dining on steak and lobster) when he was supposed to be roughing it...

Well you know that stuff is all fake. But Professional Wrestling, there is reality TV for you.

New this fall there will be a new reality TV show about the making of reality TV shows. The name will most likely be:

Who will feed the _______________(fill in the blanks, 5 words or less).

Every days a holiday and every meals a feast !

Who is online
