Who makes good matzo ball soup?

Saw the matzo ball Throwdown on Food Network last night and it got me thinking; I've never had matzo ball soup from a restaurant in Louisville. Who makes it? It6 would be perfect on a a rainy day like this.

I am pretty sure that Stevens & Stevens has it daily. Might call first just to make sure! They definitely have it often.

Kentucky B-B-Q (Frankfort and Pope) have it from time to time on their menu.

The best I've had in Louisville is my own . . . it's really easy to make - a decent chicken soup, and buy a box of matzo ball mix & follow directions (I do make my own chicken soup)

I was surprised that Jason's doesn't normally have it. Some of the old, lamented deli's did, and I've never tried Stevens & Stevens soups.

The old Naiman's had the best I've ever had in Louisville.

Wouldn't that be Jewish mother-style chicken soup in general, not just matzo ball soup specifically?

Gavi's has it from time to time and I thought it was excellent, though I'm no expert. I'm sure you could always call and ask Zina or Ida to make some if you were going to be in the neighborhood for lunch. They usually have at least 3 soups every day in addition to the daily offering of Russian vegetable soup and chili.
