NABC Hoptimus

Went to Boombozz Tap House tonight and had a NABC Hoptimus. Have to say it was the best beer I have ever had. Kudos to Roger!

Wes, glad you enjoyed our Sterner Stuff! While Roger is certainly the brains, torch bearer, and official Carnival Barker for NABC; former NABC Garage Brewer Jesse Williams, now Bank Street Brewhouse brewer, is responsible for the creation of Hoptimus. Hats off and glasses up to Jesse.

Indeed. I constitute the Imperial Court Jester Sampling department, and otherwise keep my butt out of the real work area.

Well kudos to whoever we have to thank for this ambrosia. I tried some at The Barn a week or two ago and have to say that it ranks right up there with Hopslam...Maybe even a bit more drinkable. VERY well done.

My wife loves this beer. I'm not much on hoppy stuff but this is some tasty brew.

Hoptimus is hands down my favorite of the regular brews, and is definitely one of my all-time favorite NABC brews. Keep it flowing!

I'm currently responding to student papers. I'm pretty focused and enjoying myself, but there's that little voice in the back of my head saying, "Beautiful fall day. Hoptimus just down the street. So good once it touches the lips."

Got to stay focused...resist temptation.

I stopped by the Brewhouse today to try a Wet Knob, Hoptimus, and Pommes Frites. All were great, but the Hoptimus is out of control. 10.7% ABV and 100 IBU's, but it goes down soooo smooth. I thought Alpha King and Two Hearted could get me in trouble, I apparently didn't know what trouble was. This beer is fantastic. Also, the Sherry Dijon Vinaigrette with the fries is a must.

Roger was sitting at the bar and hinted the NABC might be available in package stores in the near future.

It was nice to meet you.

To clarify: We're already available for those package stores that pour growlers, as your previous thread attests.

We'll be available in other package stores whenever we start canning. That will be when we have a canning line. I imagine we'll try and begin figuring this out after the New Year, by which time it should be possible to make better decisions based on how the beers are received on draft.

Even the explanation makes me thirsty. If you'll excuse me again ...

I have enjoyed a few Hoptimus as well-my boyfriend, Michael Beckmann, manager of BoomBozz Taphouse certainly does enjoy the beer and promotes it heavily! Of course Michael enjoys his BBC too...! :D

Filled a growler at the Liquor Barn last friday. Hopslam has been my favorite beer 3 years running....this one has a very good chance of taking that spot. Best of all, its brewed locally! Excellent work.

Which barn? I saw Elector on tap at Hurstbourne, but no Hoptimus.

Nevermind, I found the list on LB's site. Quite impressive.

The Springhurst LB Tap list is rediculous. I live in the Germantown area but work in the east end - make the Friday afternoon trip to fill up a couple of growlers every week. Lots of locals and some really good seasonals. I really liked the Great Divide 15th Anny.
I'm sure this has been covered but you can buy 2 or 4 oz samples right there before you buy. Very impressive idea and from the conversations I have had with the workers it has been well received.

Yeah, whenever I'm in that store there always seems to a be a crowd of people clustered around the bar. (Confession: I'm often among them!)

All of the workers back there are great, but if you're ever at a loss ask for Ryan. He'll point you in the right direction.
