Tony Boombozz picked for World Pizza Cup

Louisville Ky, May 8, 2007—Tony Palombino, owner/founder of Tony Boombozz Famous Gourmet Pizza, has been selected to represent the United States at The World Pizza Cup in Naples, Italy in June.

Competitors include chefs from North America, South America and Europe, of which Palombino is one. "I am very honored to be representing the United States in Naples", Palombino said. It is a homecoming for Palombino who's parents immigrated to the Unites States in 1967 from Italy's largest city and the birthplace of pizza.

Tony Boombozz currently has three locations in Louisville, with a fourth location slated to open in September on Taylorsville Road.

The last World Cup was marred by overzealous officiating and that nasty headbutt by Zidane in the finals. let's hope that Tony and his crew can show a little more class in bringing home the World Cup to Louisville. No dives and no headbutts, ok Tony? Oh yeah, and tell Ronaldo I said hello.
