Lentini's Middletown Offshoot

by Jennie Mulhall » Thu May 24, 2007 1:30 pm

Anyone know when this will be opening?
The last time I drove by they had the sign up with the new name--it escapes me right now--but I haven't heard anything yet.
Thanks!

Tanya, I have a feeling that no matter what they call it, it's going to be Lentini's East

peek in the window and progress is definatly being made........shouldn't be long, from my inexperienced point of view.

DaVinci's - No Master Piece Here

by Neal M » Sun Aug 05, 2007 9:30 am

Stopped in to give it a try last night with a friend. The interior is basically the old Buckheads with a new paint scheme, comfortable enough.

Our server arrived promptly with bread and took our drink order. She came back quick enough to take our dinner order. My friend ordered the Lasagna and when I asked for the Minestrone soup the waitress asked if I wanted the "Veggie, Chicken, or Fish", I though HUH??? I looked at the menu and and pointed out the Minestrone, there was also a Chicken and Fish soup available. The waitress (she was young) appologized and said it was her first night. So much for training. I also ordered the Coletta Bolognese (Veal Parmigiana). The soup came right out, was steaming hot. A decent enough clear broth with veggies and beans but no sign of Pasta. Before I was half done with it the entrees arrived. My friends Lasagna was OK according to her (I don't think her standards are that high). My Veal was awfull. The breading was mushy and relatively tasteless as was the sauce, the mozzarrella just didn't seem right and the cutlet itself was TOUGH. For $14 I didn't expect the finest veal I've ever had but was hoping for much better than I got. I've never had it but I think I would have done better ordering the same at Denny's.
