Calzone and chicken pot pie poll?

by Kim Massey » Thu May 24, 2007 1:27 pm

Diverse request I know, but I'd love to hear fellow forumites opinions as to who creates the best Calzone and chicken pot pie in the city? All recommendations appreciated - chain or independents.

Thanks

Best Calzone in town, hands down (IMO), is at Come Back Inn

Cliftons! Up to six toppings for $7.95. Has one last night, garlic, sausage, and pepperoni!

I've had superior Calzones at Come Back Inn and at Cafe LouLou. I need to try the one at Cliftons.

Does the Come Back Inn over there offer calzones regularly? I ask that because at the one here in Jeffersonville its only a rarely seen 'special'...

Brian

Brian, in Louisville we run the calzone special every Tues. and Wed. Not sure when they have it over in Jeff., as it is a franchise under different ownership.

I can vouch for the calzone at Clifton's. It's excellent.

Mmmmmm the calzone at Clifton's is so big you can eat it at least twice! Although if you are an east coaster, they aren't traditional calzones.

I definitely NOT recommend a calzone at Rocky's! They look like hot pockets...

IMHO Clifton's definitely has the best calzone in town it's huge, has lots of fillings in the price is right. The calzone at Wick's isn't too bad either and depending on where you live can certainly be more convenient.

Rocky's used to have a decent calzone when they were in their original location in Jeff, but since then they haven't been as good and at the location on Westport they're even worse.
